Hyatt has named Eduardo Schutte senior vice president of commercial for the Hyatt Inclusive Collection, handing him control of sales, revenue management, marketing, distribution and brand strategy across the company's all-inclusive portfolio. The appointment takes effect July 27.

Schutte reports to Javier Aguila, president of the Hyatt Inclusive Collection, and works alongside Hyatt Chief Commercial Officer Mark Vondrasek. He arrives from Cross Border Xpress, where he was chief commercial officer, and brings more than 30 years across hospitality and travel technology, with earlier stops at Grupo Posadas, TravelClick, Hilton and Amadeus.

The hire lands as the division keeps expanding. The Inclusive Collection now spans more than 150 resorts and nearly 58,000 rooms across the Caribbean, Latin America and Europe, a scale built through Hyatt's acquisitions of Apple Leisure Group in 2021 and Playa Hotels & Resorts in 2025, plus a joint venture with Pinero covering Bahia Principe.

Recent additions include Dreams Playa Esmeralda in the Dominican Republic, Secrets St. Lucia, Secrets Baby Beach in Aruba and Secrets Mirabel in Cancun. The company has also wrapped major renovations at Secrets Playa Mujeres and Hyatt Zilara Cancun.

More is coming before the end of the year. Hyatt has Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana, Park Hyatt Riviera Maya and Grand Hyatt Los Cabos all slated to open in 2026, underscoring why the company wants a seasoned commercial operator steering the brand as its room count climbs toward 60,000.
