Grand Hyatt Grand Cayman Opens Reservations for Nov. 28 Debut

Grand Hyatt is now taking reservations for Grand Hyatt Grand Cayman Resort and Spa beginning Nov. 28, 2026, putting a firm first-stay date on one of the Cayman Islands' largest new luxury resorts.

The 382-room property sits on about 900 feet of oceanfront along Seven Mile Beach, roughly 10 minutes from Owen Roberts International Airport. Earlier project talk had pointed at an April 2026 target. Hyatt's live booking calendar is the clearer signal now: inventory starts on Nov. 28.

What opening-night rates look like

Caribbean Journal's rate check for Nov. 28 found a World of Hyatt member advance-purchase price of about $1,767 per night for an ocean-view king with balcony, versus about $1,801 for the non-member advance rate before taxes. An oceanfront king sat near $1,776 for members. Hyatt also lists an $85 nightly resort fee per room. Those are opening-weekend prices, which often sit at the high end of a new resort's calendar, so December and early 2027 dates are worth comparing before you commit.

In World of Hyatt, the resort is Category 8. Off-peak standard awards start at 35,000 points a night, with higher charts for standard and peak dates. At cash rates near $1,800, points can be the stronger play for members who already hold a balance, especially outside holiday weeks.

Rooms, dining, and what sits on site

Guest rooms start around 468 square feet with furnished balconies, spanning king and two-queen layouts into ocean-view and oceanfront categories. Hyatt also lists one- to three-bedroom residences. The plan includes multiple oceanfront pools, the Mera Spa with indoor and outdoor treatment rooms, a fitness center, Camp Hyatt for children, and a Grand Club Lounge.

Dining concepts named so far include Salt + Cinder, Breadkind Market, Lo Tide, Hi Tide, the Lobby Lounge, and Brasa, a Caribbean grill positioned as a signature restaurant. Event space is listed at about 25,000 square feet indoors and outdoors, including a ballroom Hyatt says will be the island's largest, seating up to about 1,100 guests.

Why the Nov. 28 date matters for trip planning

Grand Cayman's Seven Mile Beach strip already concentrates much of the island's luxury inventory. A 382-key Grand Hyatt adds scale, meeting capacity, and a major loyalty option in one place. Pets are allowed (up to two per room, 70 pounds each) with no pet fee listed on Hyatt's page, which is uncommon at this price tier.
