This Adults-Only Jamaica All-Inclusive Just Reopened With a New Look — and a Major Loyalty Program Behind It
Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay reopened on April 1 after an extensive renovation, featuring new dining concepts and a fresh membership in the World of Hyatt family.
Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts has reopened its Runaway Bay property in Jamaica after an extensive renovation — and it's returned with a new name, a refreshed look, and a powerful booking engine behind it.
Now branded as Bahia Principe Escape Runaway Bay, the adults-only, all-inclusive resort in Runaway Bay officially reopened on April 1. The property announced its membership in the World of Hyatt family in March, giving guests access to the Hyatt Inclusive Collection's loyalty and booking infrastructure.
The renovation brought several notable changes to the dining program. A new Indian restaurant called Thali has been added to the lineup, joining a fully reimagined Jazmín buffet and a modernized Picasso restaurant. The refresh extends beyond the restaurants, with updated public spaces and guest rooms designed to appeal to the couples and adult-group market.
The rebrand to "Escape" represents Bahia Principe's push into the premium adults-only segment, distinguishing it from the brand's family-friendly Grand and Luxury tiers. Joining the World of Hyatt ecosystem is a significant move — it gives the property access to Hyatt's 45-million-member loyalty base and puts it alongside other Inclusive Collection brands like Hyatt Ziva and Hyatt Zilara.
For Jamaica's north coast, the reopening adds another quality option to a corridor that includes properties from Sandals, Secrets, and Moon Palace. Runaway Bay has traditionally been a quieter alternative to Montego Bay and Ocho Rios, and the upgraded Bahia Principe property could help raise the area's profile among the adults-only crowd.
