This Boutique Hotel Brand Just Opened Bookings for Its First Big All-Inclusive — Wrapped Inside a Jungle Park

Kimpton Tres Rios has opened its reservations calendar, and travelers can now book stays beginning September 22 at one of the most anticipated new all-inclusive resorts on Mexico's Caribbean coast.

The property sits along the Cancun-Tulum corridor near Playa del Carmen, surrounded by the Tres Rios Nature Park, an expanse of freshwater rivers, mangroves, jungle trails and cenotes. That natural setting is the whole point: rather than the beach-and-pool template most new Riviera Maya resorts lean on, Tres Rios folds the jungle and its cenotes into the vacation itself.

For Kimpton, this is a departure. The IHG boutique brand built its name on chef-driven restaurants and lively urban hotel bars, and it is trying to translate that identity into an all-inclusive format. The resort will have seven restaurants and five bars spanning Mexican and international cooking, pitched as a collection of distinct culinary concepts rather than a single buffet. One of the first named venues is El Carnal, with the rest of the lineup expected closer to opening.

There are four outdoor pools split between adult and family areas, and accommodations run from studio suites up to three-bedroom suites and a presidential suite, some with private terraces and infinity pools. The Kej Spa anchors a wellness program tied to regional traditions and the surrounding park.

Despite Kimpton's couples-and-cities reputation, Tres Rios is being designed as family-friendly, with multi-bedroom suites, nature programming and even pet-friendly rooms. It marks one of IHG's most ambitious pushes yet into luxury all-inclusive travel. Rooms for the opening dates were listed from around $353 a night.
