Rixos Hotels has opened Murjana, a sprawling ultra all-inclusive resort on Saudi Arabia's Red Sea coast that now holds the title of the kingdom's largest all-inclusive property. The Rixos Murjana spans 275,000 square meters in King Abdullah Economic City and offers 488 rooms and suites, including overwater villas inspired by Maldivian design.

The overwater villas are part of Club Privé, an adults-only enclave that represents one of the few such offerings on the Red Sea shoreline. For families, the resort delivers Saudi Arabia's first fully integrated hotel waterpark, featuring 11 attractions including the Emerald Drop and the Murjana River Adventure. A kids' club billed as the largest in the country rounds out the family offerings.

Dining and wellness are equally ambitious. Multiple restaurants cover international cuisines, while the spa combines traditional Turkish hammam treatments with modern wellness programming. The 600-meter private beach provides the kind of Red Sea access that Saudi Arabia is increasingly banking on to attract international visitors.

The opening aligns with Saudi Vision 2030, the kingdom's strategy to diversify beyond oil revenue by building a world-class tourism sector. Saudi Arabia has been investing billions in hospitality infrastructure, and the arrival of an established all-inclusive operator like Rixos — part of the Accor All-Inclusive Collection — adds credibility to the effort. For travelers who associate all-inclusive vacations exclusively with the Caribbean or Mexico, Rixos Murjana makes a compelling case that the Red Sea is ready to compete.
