One of Miami Beach's Most Legendary Hotels Just Reopened — After Six Years Behind Closed Doors
The iconic Delano Miami Beach has welcomed guests for the first time since March 2020, emerging from a full-scale renovation with new restaurants, a reimagined spa, and an exclusive members club.
Delano Miami Beach, the storied 171-key hotel that helped define South Beach's luxury hospitality scene, reopened its doors this week after being shuttered since March 2020. The property underwent a comprehensive renovation during its six-year closure, and is now welcoming guests with an entirely reimagined experience.
The redesigned hotel introduces two new restaurants — Gigi Rigolatto and Mimi Kakushi — along with a holistic social spa and the debut of the Delano Members Club, described as a community for "globally minded, culturally engaged members from Miami and beyond." The 171 guest rooms have been fully updated as part of the property's transformation.
Delano Miami Beach originally opened in 1995 and quickly became one of the most recognized boutique hotels in the world, known for its Philippe Starck-designed interiors and its role in establishing South Beach as a global travel destination. The hotel is operated by Ennismore, the lifestyle hospitality company majority-owned by Accor.
The reopening was named one of Hotel Dive's top U.S. hotel openings to watch in 2026, and its return comes at a moment when Miami's hospitality market continues to attract significant investment and traveler demand. For resort watchers, the Delano's comeback signals continued appetite for iconic luxury properties in competitive coastal markets.
