Grand Hyatt Cancun Beach Resort Sets Dec. 10 Opening With 14 Dining Spots

Grand Hyatt is bringing its first Cancun all-inclusive to Puerto Cancun. Grand Hyatt Cancun Beach Resort is scheduled to open Dec. 10, 2026, as a 500-room oceanfront property with marina access, private-pool suites, and a full resort footprint aimed at couples, families, and groups.

The announcement lands in a crowded Cancun year for luxury and all-inclusive openings. For guests, the so-what is simple: a new Grand Hyatt stay that keeps meals, drinks, and on-property recreation in one rate, in a marina district that sits between downtown Cancun and the Hotel Zone rather than inside the strip itself.

Where the resort sits and what that means for guests

Puerto Cancun is a gated waterfront community with marina berths, golf, shopping, and residences, roughly 25 minutes from Cancun International Airport. The location puts the resort close enough to the Hotel Zone for day trips while giving guests a quieter beach-and-marina base.

Hyatt says every room will have a private terrace overlooking the Caribbean Sea or the marina. Select suites will add private pools. Grand Club rooms will unlock a private lounge with continental breakfast, afternoon cocktails, and extra services. Art is part of the brief, including an entrance installation by Teresa Solar and tiles designed by María Pizarro.

For travelers who already know Cancun's Hotel Zone through properties such as Hyatt Zilara Cancun and Secrets Mirabel Cancun, this is a different product: a larger Grand Hyatt all-inclusive oriented around Puerto Cancun's beach, marina, and waterfront lifestyle.

Dining, pools, and spa on the all-inclusive plan

Fourteen food and beverage concepts are planned, among the larger dining counts for Cancun's newer luxury all-inclusives. Named venues include Quattro (Northern Italian), Fiera San (sushi and omakase), Kaab (international breakfast, buffet, and lunch), and Bistrot Cigalette, a French restaurant from chef Thierry Blouet. Argentine and Uruguayan-inspired kitchens, a pool bar, a café and market, and additional concepts round out the list.

The pool complex spans multiple levels with nine outdoor pools, including an adults-only option, an infinity pool, and a pool at the private beach club. Water sports will cover snorkeling, diving, kayaking, windsurfing, and paddleboarding. Families get a Grand Kids Club. The Ritua Sanctuary Spa will add outdoor relaxation areas, a temazcal, hammock lounges, and a fitness center.

Meetings capacity and the wider Grand Hyatt calendar

Groups get nearly 30,000 square feet of indoor event space on a single level, including a ballroom that divides into eight sections, two breakout rooms, and a boardroom, plus terraces, beach venues, and poolside areas. The Cancun debut arrives about 12 days after the planned Nov. 28 opening of the 382-room Grand Hyatt Grand Cayman Resort and Spa near Seven Mile Beach. Together, the two openings give the Grand Hyatt brand a denser Caribbean and Mexican Caribbean presence in a short window. Grand Hyatt Cancun Beach Resort is the brand's first all-inclusive in Cancun; Hyatt Inclusive Collection already has a deep footprint in the destination through Zilara, Ziva, Secrets, and related brands.
