Cayo Levantado Resort, a 218-suite all-inclusive on a private island off the Samaná Peninsula in the Dominican Republic, will join The Unbound Collection by Hyatt this summer. The move means World of Hyatt members will be able to earn and redeem points at one of the Caribbean's most secluded resort properties.

Getting there is part of the experience. Guests arrive by boat from the mainland, crossing in under 15 minutes before stepping onto a dock that opens to beaches on multiple sides of the island. Every suite includes separate living space and a private outdoor area — there are no standard rooms.

What's on the Island

The resort operates on a full all-inclusive model with multiple restaurants and bars, daily watersports and cultural excursions, and 24-hour personal ambassadors assigned to each guest. The island's Yubarta wellness zone, named after the humpback whales that migrate through Samaná Bay each winter, anchors a spa program rooted in Taíno healing traditions.

Conservation is woven into the guest experience too, with species identification programs and marine education activities.

The addition is part of a broader push by Hyatt Inclusive Collection to expand its all-inclusive footprint across the Caribbean and Latin America. Hyatt now controls one of the largest all-inclusive portfolios in the world, spanning brands like Hyatt Zilara, Hyatt Ziva, and Secrets Resorts. Cayo Levantado adds a private-island option that none of those brands currently offer.

For points collectors, this is a notable pickup — boat-access-only private islands rarely come with loyalty program perks. Rates and award night availability have not yet been announced.
