The Caribbean's Largest New All-Inclusive Just Opened — With Over 2,000 Suites and a Greg Norman Golf Course
Moon Palace The Grand Punta Cana launched June 1 with 2,171 suites, nine pools, a water park, and more than 20 dining venues.
Palace Resorts has opened Moon Palace The Grand Punta Cana, and the numbers speak for themselves: 2,171 suites, more than 20 dining venues, nine pools, a water park, a casino, and a Greg Norman-designed golf course. It is the largest new resort to open anywhere in the Caribbean in 2026.
The property launched June 1 on the eastern coast of the Dominican Republic, adding major new inventory to Punta Cana's already dominant all-inclusive corridor. Core operations — rooms, primary restaurants, pools, and activity areas — went live at opening, with some nightlife venues and specialty concepts scheduled to phase in later this year.
What's on the Property
The resort operates as a fully self-contained system. Its nine pools range from activity-heavy zones to quieter sections. The water park anchors the family experience, while the Greg Norman course adds a full 18-hole golf component directly tied to the resort. A casino, an O Spa with hydrotherapy programming, and non-motorized water sports round out the amenities.
Dining is where the property stands out. It opens with 16 restaurants covering multiple cuisines, plus cafes, poolside outlets, and a 24-hour in-room dining service through the resort app. Bars are distributed across the property, including a lobby terrace, a sports bar, poolside bars, and a nightclub. An adults-only day club, a speakeasy-style lounge, and a Polynesian-inspired cocktail bar are all expected later this year.
Suite Categories and Pricing
The 2,171 suites span a wide range. Entry-level rooms start at roughly 635 square feet with whirlpool tubs and curated minibars. Swim-up suites offer direct pool access from the terrace. Family configurations connect two rooms with up to 1,981 square feet, while top-tier presidential suites reach 2,637 square feet.
Opening-week rates start at $849 per night all-inclusive for a golf-view room. Swim-up suites run about $1,403 per night.
The opening continues a broader pattern in Punta Cana: large-format, high-amenity resorts designed to keep guests on property for the full stay. Palace Resorts already operates Moon Palace Cancun, Moon Palace Jamaica, and the adults-only Le Blanc Spa Resorts brand. This is its first property in the Dominican Republic — and its biggest yet.
