Hyatt Hotels Corporation has unveiled plans to add more than 30 new properties representing roughly 4,000 rooms across the Southeastern United States, in one of the company's most aggressive regional expansion pushes to date.

The new hotels will span Hyatt Studios, Hyatt Select, Hyatt Place, and Hyatt House brands, targeting markets across Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, and Alabama. The expansion taps into a region experiencing sustained population growth, infrastructure investment, and steady corporate travel demand.

Why the Southeast

The Southeast has quietly become one of the hottest hotel development corridors in the country. Migration patterns, major corporate relocations, and a booming leisure market have created hotel demand in both primary cities and smaller secondary markets that previously lacked a Hyatt flag.

Hyatt currently operates more than 350 Hyatt Place and 120 Hyatt House properties across the United States. Recent brand updates include a newly optimized Hyatt Place prototype designed to reduce build costs, along with refreshed Hyatt House guestroom and lobby designs aimed at elevating the extended-stay experience.

Broader Implications

While Hyatt's all-inclusive resorts like Hyatt Ziva Cancun and Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana continue to draw leisure travelers to the Caribbean, this domestic push shows the company is betting equally big on its select-service brands at home. The pipeline also positions Hyatt to capture more World of Hyatt loyalty members who may eventually book into the company's growing all-inclusive portfolio.

The announcement comes on the heels of several other major Hyatt moves, including the addition of Bahia Principe resorts to the World of Hyatt loyalty program and plans for a new Hyatt Ziva in Punta Cana.
