Rating7.9The activities program runs morning to late night with structured daily scheduling plus a full entertainment team. Cross-access to Grand Palladium Lady Hamilton doubles everything — two kids clubs, more sports courts, more pool areas. Non-motorized water sports, fitness classes, and nightly entertainment are all included. Scuba diving, deep sea fishing, and golf at Tryall Club are extra.

The resort's centerpiece with four built-in whirlpools and a swim-up bar. Predictably busy by 9 AM in high season. Loungers near the bar go fast — arriving by 8 AM secures the good spots. The afternoon entertainment program runs here with pool games, live music, and the occasional foam party.
The quieter alternative, open until midnight — the latest of any pool on property. Significantly less crowded than the main pool, especially in the late afternoon when families head to dinner. The night swimming option alone makes it worth seeking out.
Positioned away from the main activity areas for guests who want a float without the noise of organized pool games. Modest in size compared to the main pool but reliably tranquil during peak hours.
Flows around the Zentropia Spa complex. The lazy river circuit is short but functional. Good for guests coming from spa treatments who want to extend the wellness experience.
Dedicated to younger guests with splash areas, mini slides, and shallow wading sections. Keeps children from flooding the adult pool areas. Parents can sit poolside at the adjacent sun terrace.
The best of the four beaches — a protected cove with genuinely calm, clear water suitable for swimming and snorkeling. Narrower than it looks in photos but the water quality makes it the top pick for families with young children. The Sunset Cove Jerk Hut nearby earns its own visit.
Open beach with its own jerk hut and bar. More exposed to wind and wave action than Sunset Cove. Fine for sunbathing but swimming is more variable. The Las Brisas Jerk Hut here is a good lunch option.
Adjacent to the Coral Pool area. Some rocky sections at the waterline make entry less comfortable than Sunset Cove. Better for lounging than swimming.
The longest stretch of sand on property. Busy during peak hours with water sports equipment and activity setup. Good for walking the length of the resort, but the open exposure means choppier conditions than Sunset Cove.
Single and double kayaks available from the beach. Included in the all-inclusive rate. Best in the morning before afternoon wind picks up. Worth it for exploring the coastline between the resort's four beaches.
Equipment included, though the offshore reef quality in Lucea is modest compared to Jamaica's south coast. An introductory look at the underwater environment — serious snorkelers will want to book an excursion to better sites.
Boards and instruction available from the beach. The northwest coast gets reasonable trade winds, making it actually functional for windsurfing. Better suited to beginners and intermediates than performance sailors.
Group catamaran trips from the beach. Included in the rate. A good way to see the coastline from the water and catch a different perspective on the resort's position on the Point.
Pool-based fitness classes run daily on a schedule. Aqua spin uses underwater cycling stations in the pool. Low-impact, social, and consistently popular with guests who want exercise that doesn't feel like exercise.
Organized pool games run by the entertainment team. Casual, family-friendly competition in the main pool. A good way to meet other guests.
Courts on the beach. Informal pickup games organized throughout the day by the activities team. Equipment provided.
Courts available for casual play. Equipment can be borrowed. Not lit for night play at all locations, so afternoon sessions in the Caribbean heat require timing around the schedule.
Full court available. Organized games scheduled by the entertainment team. Drop-in play available when courts aren't in use.
Added during the 2023 renovation — one of the newer offerings on property. Courts are less crowded than tennis and the learning curve is gentler, making it approachable for guests who haven't played before.
9-hole mini golf course on property. Included in the rate. A good low-intensity option for families with younger children who want structured activity without the intensity of pool sports.
Supervised archery sessions with instruction. One of those activities that tends to be busier than expected — guests find it genuinely enjoyable even without prior experience. Book a slot early in the day.
Available in the games room. Self-directed play, no scheduling needed. A reliable wet-weather fallback and a popular option for teenagers.
Life Fitness cardio and weight equipment, TRX stations, and daily group classes including yoga, pilates, boot camp, and Zumba. The facility is well-equipped for a resort gym. Classes fill up on popular mornings — check the schedule on arrival.
Guided bike rides through the property and surrounding area. A good way to see the grounds at a different pace. Schedule varies by season.
Dedicated daytime programming for children with supervised activities, games, crafts, and themed events. Well-staffed enough that parents can genuinely hand off kids for a few hours without worry. Operates on a daily schedule.
Supervised care for toddlers — the youngest age group covered by the resort's kids programming. A genuine differentiator for parents traveling with infants who need structured supervised time.
Dedicated teen space with programming for older kids who've outgrown the Castle Kids Club. Includes gaming, social activities, and teen-focused events. Reduces the common problem of teenagers being bored at adult-oriented resorts.
Professional theatrical performances in the resort's main amphitheater — dance shows, acrobatics, and themed evenings. Production quality is above average for a mid-market all-inclusive. Check the weekly schedule on arrival.
Included with the all-inclusive rate. DJ music until 2 AM. The only nightclub in the complex and the social hub for night owls. Gets going after 10:30 PM. Those in nearby villa buildings should request rooms away from the music.
Structured rum tasting sessions and cocktail-making classes featuring Jamaican rums. Good value as an included activity — you learn something and drink well. Typically runs 1-2 times per week.
Jamaican cocoa has a genuine story — the island's Blue Mountains produce high-quality cacao. The tasting events cover production and flavor. A relaxed educational session worth attending at least once.
Extra charge. The dive center offers PADI certification courses and guided dives. Lucea's waters have decent marine life though the reef system isn't Jamaica's finest — serious divers may prefer day trips to better sites along the north coast.
Extra charge. Charter boats available for blue marlin, wahoo, mahi-mahi, and tuna. Jamaica's northwest coast produces good pelagic fishing. Arrange through the concierge, not third-party vendors on the beach.
Extra charge. Tryall Club is a 30-minute drive and widely considered one of Jamaica's finest golf courses — a renovated plantation estate with sea views and a challenging layout. Worth the excursion for serious golfers.
