W Hotels is bringing its nightlife-meets-luxury formula to Mexico's Caribbean coast with W All-Inclusive Costa Mujeres, a 300-room adults-only resort expected to open later this year. The property marks another step in Marriott's aggressive push into the all-inclusive space.

The resort will feature five globally inspired restaurants, multiple bars and lounges, swimming pools, and roughly 9,000 square feet of event space. It sits in Costa Mujeres, the fast-growing corridor north of Cancún that has become ground zero for high-end all-inclusive development.

W All-Inclusive Costa Mujeres will open alongside JW Marriott All-Inclusive Costa Mujeres, a 283-room family-friendly property on an adjacent site. Together, the two resorts represent Marriott's strategy of pairing complementary brands in a single destination — one for couples seeking energy and nightlife, the other for families looking for refined dining and wellness.

The adults-only positioning puts W in direct competition with established players like Secrets Playa Blanca Costa Mujeres and Ocean Allure Costa Mujeres in the same corridor. But W is betting its brand identity — bold design, curated music programming, and a social-first atmosphere — will attract a younger demographic that traditional all-inclusives have struggled to reach.

With the W Punta Cana already operating in the Dominican Republic, Costa Mujeres gives the brand its second all-inclusive footprint in the Caribbean and its first in Mexico.
