AAA
The first W All-Inclusive in the world opened in Uvero Alto in 2025. That fact answers the obvious question about what makes this different: it's not trying to compete with Punta Cana's established all-inclusive corridor. It's a bet that a segment of travelers — adults who want the convenience of all-inclusive but find the format's usual aesthetics dull — will pay a premium for W Hotels' approach to design and programming.
Uvero Alto is roughly 45 minutes from Punta Cana airport, farther east than the main Bavaro resort strip. The location is quieter, the beach less cluttered with neighboring properties, and the surrounding area less developed. The private beachfront runs about 400 meters. If the drive feels long on arrival, it won't once you're settled.
The property is adults-only (18+) with 340 rooms and a design philosophy centered on Dominican culture, music, and local identity — the kind of language W Hotels has always used that either resonates or doesn't depending on how seriously you take it. The 80-meter Wet Deck infinity pool with ocean views is the central social feature. AWAY Spa has 10 treatment rooms and a Himalayan salt room; the hydrotherapy circuit is included. Suite guests receive Personal Insider service, W's version of concierge.
Practically: 13 dining and bar venues ranging from SCENA (Dominican fusion) to SATSUMA ROOFTOP (Nikkei) to the 33 1/3 Speakeasy. The format is generous — all venues are included in the all-inclusive rate. Opening-year teething issues are an honest expectation at any brand-new property; read recent reviews before booking.
