Sandals Resorts officially opened the Louis Grant Conference Center at Sandals Dunn’s River in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, following a ribbon-cutting ceremony on March 4-5.

The 8,000-square-foot facility features a 5,396 sq-ft main venue that can be divided into three ballrooms named after local landmarks: White River, Fern Gully, and Laughing Waters. The space accommodates over 500 guests in reception-style setups and includes two boardrooms seating up to 15 people each, along with two pre-function areas.

A Legacy Tribute

The center is named after Louis Grant, a tourism veteran with more than 60 years in the industry who spent 25 years with Sandals in leadership roles at this property and in St. Lucia. Grant passed away in March 2023. Sandals Executive Chairman Adam Stewart first unveiled the project during the brand’s December 2025 Back to Jamaica event.

Strengthening Caribbean MICE

The addition positions Sandals Dunn’s River as a serious contender in Caribbean meetings and incentive travel. The resort benefits from proximity to Ian Fleming International Airport, which offers direct service from Miami, making it an accessible option for North American corporate groups and incentive programs.

This is the latest in a series of major investments from Sandals across the Caribbean, including the upcoming Sandals Saint Vincent property and continued upgrades across its Jamaica portfolio.
