This Grenada Beach Already Has a Six Senses — Now It's Getting a Second Global Luxury Brand

Grenada is about to get its biggest hotel opening of 2026, and it's landing on one of the island's best beaches. The InterContinental Grenada Resort & Spa is now accepting reservations for stays beginning Nov. 4, bringing a 120-room luxury resort to La Sagesse on the island's quieter eastern side.

The resort will open with three restaurants, a spa built around Grenadian botanicals and minerals, a fitness center, a large outdoor pool, and a beach club fronting La Sagesse Bay. IHG is already promoting group offers, positioning the property for destination weddings and incentive travel alongside leisure stays.

What makes the opening unusual is its neighbor. The developer, Range Developments, also built the Six Senses La Sagesse, which opened in 2024 as that brand's first Caribbean resort. That gives a single stretch of St. David's coastline two internationally known luxury names from the same developer, plus a residential project called The La Sagesse Collection taking shape beside them. Range's Caribbean portfolio also includes Park Hyatt St. Kitts and the InterContinental Dominica Cabrits Resort & Spa.

For travelers, the two resorts offer very different stays in the same place: Six Senses leans into wellness, villas, and private-pool suites, while the InterContinental brings a larger, more conventional beach-club format and the reach of IHG One Rewards.

The arrival matters for where it sits. Most of Grenada's marquee resort inventory has clustered around Grand Anse and Lance aux Epines in the southwest, home to properties like Royalton Grenada. La Sagesse, farther east, had almost no large-resort presence a few years ago. By November, if the schedule holds, it will have two of the Caribbean's best-known luxury brands within the same growing district.
