This All-Inclusive Brand Is Building a First-of-Its-Kind Combo Resort in Punta Cana

Hyatt Ziva is expanding to Punta Cana with a 650-room new-build all-inclusive resort that introduces something the brand has never tried in the Caribbean before: a family-friendly property with a dedicated adults-only building on the same campus.

Announced on March 11, Hyatt Inclusive Collection confirmed a management agreement with Codelpa — the same owner behind Secrets Tides Punta Cana — for Hyatt Ziva Punta Cana, expected to open in 2029. The resort will sit about 40 minutes from Punta Cana International Airport.

What makes it different

The combo format is the headline here. Families get the full Hyatt Ziva treatment — water park, Kid's Club, Teen Club, supervised daily activities — while adults-only guests get their own building and pool without leaving the resort. Five specialty restaurants, each with a different international cuisine, round out the dining options alongside five distinct pools.

It's a concept that reflects where the all-inclusive market is heading: resorts that don't force travelers to choose between a kid-friendly vibe and a quieter, more refined experience.

Part of a bigger push in the Dominican Republic

The Punta Cana property joins a growing pipeline for Hyatt in the region. Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana and Secrets Macao Beach Punta Cana are both expected to open in 2026, making the Dominican Republic one of the densest markets for Hyatt's inclusive brands.

With Bahia Principe also joining World of Hyatt later this month, Hyatt's all-inclusive footprint in the Caribbean is expanding faster than any of its competitors — and Punta Cana is ground zero for that growth.
