Paradisus by Meliá Bali is a newly reopened property—a 1.5-year, ground-up renovation of what was formerly Meliá Bali, which had operated since 1985. The resort relaunched under the Paradisus brand in February 2026 with 492 rooms, suites, and villas (485 suites plus seven exclusive villas), fresh Balinese-influenced design, and a meaningfully different all-inclusive structure.
The most distinctive element is the Destination Inclusive® program, which treats cultural immersion as part of the all-inclusive package. Guests staying four or more nights receive complimentary curated excursions to Balinese temples and local markets—not just a resort activity schedule, but actual off-property experiences included in the rate. This is genuinely unusual for all-inclusive in Southeast Asia. Eight restaurants, daily minibar refills, 24-hour room service, Kids Club (Kidsdom), Teen Kingdom, and Wi-Fi are all included.
The property segments into a family zone and The Reserve, an adults-only section (16+) with its own private pool, exclusive pool bar with a lobster roll as the signature item, and the Sante Restaurant exclusively for Reserve guests. Families get the Aquazone water park with slides, Kidsdom for ages 4–12, and Teen Kingdom for 13–18. This is one of the few all-inclusives in Bali structured enough to serve both family and couples markets simultaneously without either feeling shortchanged.
Nusa Dua sits 20–25 minutes from Ngurah Rai International Airport. The area itself is Bali's most protected beach enclave—gated, calm, and predictably maintained. Guests who want the chaos and culture of Seminyak or Ubud will need to arrange transport; the Destination Inclusive® excursions help bridge this, but Nusa Dua is fundamentally a beach-resort setting rather than a cultural immersion destination on its own.
