Effortless Ski Holiday
Guests consistently praise the resort for its comprehensive all-inclusive nature, removing all logistical burdens and hidden costs for a truly worry-free ski experience, from lift passes to pre-prepped ski gear.
Family-Focused Environment
The resort excels in providing structured, age-appropriate children's clubs and ski lessons for all ages, ensuring both kids and parents have an enjoyable and memorable holiday with peace of mind.
Direct Slope Access
The true ski-in/ski-out location directly onto the Tignes-Val d'Isère ski domain is a major highlight, offering immediate and highly convenient access to the vast slopes for all skill levels.
Exceptional Buffet Dining
Le Val Claret buffet restaurant receives consistent praise for its outstanding variety, quality, and freshness, offering diverse international and local dishes, healthy options, and delicious desserts.
Dedicated & Engaging Staff
The entire G.O. team is frequently lauded for their amazing service, attentiveness, friendliness, and helpfulness, significantly contributing to the welcoming and positive atmosphere of the resort.
Mixed Gourmet Dining Experience
Some guests expressed that the à la carte gourmet restaurant, Le Solstice, was 'disappointing' and did not meet expectations for a truly high-end dining option beyond the excellent buffet.
Inconsistent Children's Ski Instruction
While adult instructors are generally highly rated, there were comments about varying quality among children's ski teachers, with some occasionally described as 'kind of rude'.
Room Comfort Concerns
Guests occasionally reported issues with cold rooms due to limited heating control and towel heaters only functioning for short periods, which can be a comfort issue in an alpine setting.
Large Resort Feel
Despite smart zoning, the buffet restaurant can feel large and potentially crowded given the resort's capacity of over 1,400 people, which might not appeal to those seeking more intimate dining experiences.
Independent Traveler Suitability
The extensive all-inclusive nature, while convenient, might not be ideal for independent travelers who value exploring local restaurants and activities outside the resort.

BREEAM Certification
'Very Good' Accreditation
BREEAM
Club Med Tignes was torn down and rebuilt from scratch, reopening in December 2022 — not renovated, not refreshed, but fully reconstructed. The result is one of the most modern all-inclusive ski properties in the French Alps: 430 rooms across a building certified BREEAM 'Very Good' (the first mountain hotel in France to achieve this rating), with a 25-meter indoor pool that is the largest indoor pool in the Alps by floor area. The ski-in/ski-out access connects directly to the Tignes-Val d'Isère domain — around 300km of marked pistes.
This resort works well for families and groups who want to eliminate the logistics of an Alpine ski holiday: lift passes, group ski and snowboard lessons for all levels, accommodation, food, and après-ski are covered. The kids' clubs run from 4 months to 17 years and include ski lessons, which is the main practical reason families choose all-inclusive over self-catered in the Alps. Solo travelers and couples will find the property social but not particularly intimate — 430 rooms means a full dining room at peak times.
The honest issue is Le Solstice, the gourmet reservation restaurant. Several guests who booked specifically for it came away underwhelmed — the menu is solid Alpine-French but doesn't consistently deliver at the price premium the all-inclusive positioning implies. The main buffet restaurant, Le Val Claret, is genuinely good with strong Savoyard options (raclette, fondue, regional cheeses), so the disappointment is comparative rather than absolute.
Practically: the resort sits at 2,100m elevation, which means it typically holds snow well into April. Chambéry-Voglans (CMF) is the closest airport at around 1 hour 40 minutes; Geneva (GVA) is 2.5–3 hours. The Exclusive Collection Space has dedicated suites with a private lounge (Le Sommet, champagne from 6 PM, 24-hour service) and in-room continental breakfast. Standard rooms are modern and clean but not large. The ski-in/ski-out route is on a blue run, which helps beginners but may feel slow for advanced skiers traversing in.
Summer operation is also available, with 24 included activities including hiking, mountain biking, and climbing. The indoor pool means it's a year-round resort if you're willing to come in the off-season for the activity program.
