True All-Inclusive Value
Guests value the genuine all-inclusive nature, covering accommodation, diverse meals, drinks, and a wide range of activities, offering a worry-free and fulfilling vacation experience.
Altitude Sickness Risk
Visitors are strongly advised to be aware of the resort's high altitude and plan for acclimatization, especially for children and older family members, to mitigate potential health effects.
Fluctuating Food Variety
While generally good, guests caution that the buffet's variety may decrease during periods of lower occupancy, potentially limiting options for some palates.
Remote Location
The resort is situated somewhat far from downtown Lijiang, which may be a consideration for those prioritizing immediate access to urban attractions, though it's close to culturally rich ancient towns.
Peak Season Surcharges
Guests should anticipate significantly higher prices during public holidays and peak travel seasons, impacting the overall cost of their stay.

The view from Club Med Lijiang's lobby is the reason to choose it over any other Club Med in China: Jade Dragon Snow Mountain sits directly in front of you, snow-capped year-round, close enough that suite balconies offer unobstructed sightlines. No other property in the brand delivers this kind of mountain drama from an all-inclusive base in China, and that's the only reason you need to book it over more established alternatives in Southeast Asia.
This works best for families with kids aged 4 and up, adventure travelers who want a structured base for Yunnan exploration, and anyone specifically interested in Naxi cultural heritage. The 1,500 sqm indoor water park ensures kids stay occupied regardless of weather, and the Naxi workshops — Dongba script writing, handicraft, cooking, weaving — are genuinely rare experiences you can't replicate at a beach resort. Solo travelers or couples wanting nightlife will find the offering thin; the nightly Crazy Sign dance and karaoke are about as wild as it gets.
The honest drawback is altitude. Lijiang sits above 2,400 meters and the resort is at over 2,000 meters — altitude sickness is a real risk for children and older guests arriving from sea level. Several guests report headaches and fatigue on day one. Budget an acclimatization day before attempting activities, and skip the more strenuous hikes until you feel settled.
Practically speaking: 292 rooms, opened 2021, 40–55 minutes from Lijiang Sanyi Airport (LJG). Activities run to about 26 included daily, with 10 more at extra cost (Jade Dragon excursion, Tiger Leaping Gorge, ATV tours). The Shuhe restaurant inside the sports complex has been temporarily closed, so the main dining burden falls on Baisha buffet. Rooms in the three-story buildings tend to be quieter and more likely to face the mountain — worth requesting at booking.
March through May and September through November are the best windows: mild temperatures, clearer skies for mountain views, and manageable crowds. Winter brings snow on the mountain and strong light for photography but cold nights. Summer is busy with Chinese domestic visitors.
