This Longtime Jamaica Resort Is Getting a New Name — and a Very Different Kind of Guest

Starting Nov. 1, one of Jamaica's north-coast all-inclusives is changing its name and its whole positioning. Ocean Eden Bay, the adults-only beachfront resort in Coral Spring, Trelawny, will reopen as Ocean Allure Eden Bay — the second property in Ocean Signature Resorts' higher-end, adults-only Ocean Allure collection.

The change follows the December debut of Ocean Allure Costa Mujeres in Mexico, the concept's flagship. Adding a Jamaica property gives the brand a two-destination footprint and pushes it into one of the Caribbean's most crowded adults-only markets, where Montego Bay, Negril and Ocho Rios are already packed with couples-focused resorts.

The Eden Bay rebrand is the headline of a broader winter overhaul across the company's portfolio. On Nov. 19, Ocean Coral & Turquesa in Puerto Morelos becomes Ocean Coral Riviera Cancún, with renovated guestrooms, reworked arrival areas and a redesigned Privilege section rather than a name change alone.

The Riviera Maya gets more attention, too. Ocean Maya Royale is adding 12 suites with private pools and a new Elegance room category, while Ocean Riviera Paradise is expanding its fitness center and putting private pools in its Master Suites.

In Punta Cana, Ocean Blue & Sand is introducing swim-up rooms as an early piece of a larger 2027 plan the company hasn't fully detailed.

The through-line is accommodations. Private pools, swim-up entries and dedicated adults-only tiers are the room types couples increasingly book for longer and celebratory trips, and Ocean Signature is leaning into all of them at once. For Jamaica specifically, the Trelawny location — between Montego Bay's airport corridor and Falmouth — gives Ocean Allure Eden Bay a straightforward base for a north-coast stay, now wrapped in a more service-heavy, upscale identity.
