Ocean Riviera Paradise is one of the larger all-inclusives on the Riviera Maya—974 suites across a property built in 2017 and updated in 2023. The meaningful design decision here is the segmentation: a dedicated family zone with its own water park and kids' programs runs alongside an adults-only El Beso section with its own pool, swim-up bar, sushi service, and restaurants restricted to guests 18 and over. Families get infrastructure specifically built for them; couples who book El Beso effectively get a quieter resort-within-a-resort. It is not a perfect separation—common areas blend—but it works better than most at this scale.
The resort suits families with children who want animation programs (Daisy Club covers ages 4–12, Teen Club handles 13–17), and couples or adults wanting a higher-caliber all-inclusive without the full boutique price tag. The Privilege upgrade tier adds butler service, a private pool area, Nespresso machines, pillow menus, and a dedicated lounge restaurant with sea views. Guests who skip Privilege but want upgraded amenities will find the standard Junior Suites comfortable but not exceptional—finishes are modern, not lavish.
The honest drawback at this scale: 974 suites means competition for restaurant reservations. La Terraza and Sakura (teppanyaki) both require bookings, and slots fill fast, particularly in peak season. Plan on requesting reservations the moment you check in, not on day three. The Bluemoon French restaurant also has a strict smart-casual dress code—no flip-flops, sleeved shirts required for men—which catches some guests off guard at a beach resort.
Location is 50 km from Cancun airport (43–55 minutes) on the Riviera Maya seafront near Playa del Carmen. Five outdoor pools include one positioned directly on the beach. Non-motorized water sports and a 24-hour gym are included. The resort holds a sustainability certification worth noting if that matters to your booking decision.
