Ocean Coral & Turquesa sits on Puerto Morelos's white-sand beach at the midpoint between Cancun and Playa del Carmen — 35 minutes from Cancun International Airport (CUN), which is among the shorter transfers for Riviera Maya properties. The 586-suite resort opened in 2007-2008 and has maintained its facilities through ongoing updates rather than a single notable renovation.
The dining program is the most concrete differentiator. Ten à la carte themed restaurants cover Italian (Ritratto d'Italia), Mexican (Hacienda Los Girasoles), Japanese teppanyaki and sushi (Sensai), Caribbean grill (Villa Marina), and an adults-only signature restaurant (Bluemoon), among others. For a property of this size, 10 à la carte dinner options significantly reduces the likelihood of dining fatigue on longer stays. Reservations are required for most venues — book all desired restaurants on arrival day.
The El Beso adults-only section, which functioned as a private enclave for couples within the family resort, is being converted to an exclusive Privilege section by May 2026. Guests booking after this date will find the Privilege tier replacing the standalone El Beso adults-only concept — Privilege rooms gain priority reservations, butler service, and exclusive pool access. This transition is worth confirming at time of booking.
The Teenclub stands out: ages 13–17 get dedicated gaming space with PlayStation, Xbox, and Wii access, plus Guitar Hero and table football, open daily from 2–10 PM. The Daisy Club for ages 4–12 covers 9 AM to 6 PM with daily and nightly programming. The honest limitation is reservation management at this property. Ten à la carte restaurants create a booking system where arrival-day reservation securing matters significantly. Guests who don't organize this immediately at check-in lose access to the most desirable dinner windows.
