A Brand-New Adults-Only All-Inclusive Is Coming to Punta Cana — With Swim-Up Rooms and a Wave Pool
Lopesan Serenity Bay Resort, Spa & Casino will open this spring in Punta Cana with 239 suites, multiple pools, and a quieter alternative to the region's mega-resorts.
A new adults-only all-inclusive resort is set to open in Punta Cana this spring, giving the Dominican Republic's busiest resort corridor a quieter, more intimate alternative to the mega-resorts that dominate the area.
Lopesan Serenity Bay Resort, Spa & Casino will debut with 239 suites spread across a beachfront property designed around calm. The resort features swim-up rooms, a wave pool, and a cluster of pools meant to feel less like a theme park and more like a retreat. It's a deliberate contrast to nearby properties that pack thousands of rooms into a single campus.
The dining lineup leans ambitious for a mid-size resort, with multiple restaurants and bars included in the all-inclusive rate. A full-service spa and casino round out the amenities, targeting couples and solo travelers looking for a complete experience without the crowds.
Lopesan Hotel Group, based in Spain's Canary Islands, has operated resorts across Europe for decades but has been steadily expanding into the Caribbean. The Serenity Bay property is the group's latest push into a market where competition for the adults-only segment has intensified sharply.
Punta Cana already hosts a deep roster of adults-only options, from Hyatt Zilara properties like Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana to Bahia Principe luxury resorts. But the market keeps absorbing new supply — a sign that demand for couples-focused all-inclusive vacations in the DR continues to outpace what's available.
Exact opening dates and booking details haven't been announced yet, but the resort is expected to begin welcoming guests in Q2 2026.
