Hyatt Zilara Cancun has reopened after a 13-month closure for a complete renovation that touched nearly every corner of the adults-only, all-inclusive resort in the heart of Cancun's Hotel Zone.

The 310-suite property, situated between the Nichupte Lagoon and the Caribbean Sea, shut its doors in April 2025 for what became one of the most extensive overhauls of any all-inclusive resort in Cancun in recent years. The redesign draws on the natural landscape of the Yucatan Peninsula, with rooms featuring natural woods, woven textures, and locally inspired artwork.

New Dining Concepts Stand Out

All 12 of the resort's dining venues were redesigned with new menus and updated interiors. The most striking addition is Bokeh, a reservation-only speakeasy that holds just 23 guests at a time. Modeled after 1920s art deco bars, it offers a curated 90-minute experience of cocktails, wine pairings, and live music.

There's also Casa Adelita, an intimate 10-seat restaurant with one seating per evening, focused on traditional Yucatecan cooking. And a new waterfront Italian restaurant, Olio D'Olivia, rounds out the additions with handmade pastas and risottos served overlooking the sea.

Wellness and Beach Upgrades

The resort's Zen Spa was rebuilt around hydrotherapy, holistic treatments, and nature-based therapies. The beach area now includes expanded shaded sections, upgraded loungers, and a redesigned quiet zone for guests who want more privacy along the shoreline.

The renovation strengthens Hyatt Inclusive Collection's position in the all-inclusive market, which now includes more than 150 resorts and over 55,000 rooms. Hyatt has been especially active in the Cancun region, with the recent opening of Secrets Mirabel Cancun and ongoing preparation for the planned Park Hyatt Riviera Maya.

Rates at the renovated Hyatt Zilara Cancun start at around $644 per night for a resort-view king room.
