JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar Returns Dec. 1 With 295 Redesigned Suites

JOIA Rose Hall by Iberostar (the former Iberostar Grand Rose Hall) is scheduled to reopen Dec. 1 in Montego Bay after a six-month gut renovation. The adults-only, 295-suite all-inclusive has been closed since June while Iberostar reworked rooms, restaurants, pools, and beach areas across the Rose Hall beachfront complex.

What is changing for winter guests

All 295 accommodations remain suites across four floors, with garden, ocean-view, and oceanfront categories plus swim-out options. Iberostar is redesigning terraces and interiors with Jamaican flora, color, and craft references while keeping butler service in selected categories, 24-hour room service, concierge service, and spa hydrotherapy access.

Dining is getting a broader international lineup with a stronger Jamaican accent. Concepts already named include Gaia (cooking over embers), The Huddle sports bar, and Chez Charlie French brasserie. The all-inclusive covers buffets, specialty dinners, snacks, domestic and international drinks, and a daily minibar restock. Guests can also use restaurants and facilities at neighboring Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites and Iberostar Rose Hall Beach.

Pool, beach, and the reopening offer

Updated pool and beach areas include poolside service, a swim-up bar, and included non-motorized water sports such as kayaking, snorkeling, windsurfing, and Hobie Cat sailing for up to an hour a day. The resort sits about 11 miles from Sangster International Airport, close to Cinnamon Hill Golf Course and Rose Hall Great House.

Iberostar is pushing a reopening promotion through Nov. 30 for stays from Dec. 1 into next fall: extra prepaid savings, private transfers, and up to $800 in resort credit, with wider discounts advertised depending on dates and room type. Recent public rate checks have shown entries in the high $800s per room night, so shoppers should compare categories carefully before assuming a headline discount.
