Grand Hyatt Grand Cayman Resort & Spa will open on April 1, 2026, bringing 382 rooms and suites to a private stretch at the southern end of Seven Mile Beach. The resort is already accepting reservations and marks one of the most significant new hotel openings in the Cayman Islands in years.

Five distinct dining venues will anchor the food and beverage program. Salt & Cinder, a globally inspired concept, sits just 30 feet from the waterline. Lo Tide Pool Bar & Restaurant serves casual Mexican fare and cocktails poolside, while Hi Tide Rooftop Bar offers a raw and cured menu with panoramic views. Brasa delivers refined island cuisine, with additional grab-and-go options for guests on the move.

Built for Scale

Beyond leisure, the resort positions itself as a major meetings and incentive destination. A 25,000-square-foot indoor and outdoor events complex includes a main ballroom that accommodates up to 1,100 guests — significant capacity for an island destination. A 9,000-square-foot spa with 14 treatment rooms and an outdoor vitality pool serves both group and leisure travelers.

The property enters the World of Hyatt program at Category 8, placing it among the most premium redemption options in the portfolio. The categorization reflects both the property's luxury positioning and Grand Cayman's status as a high-cost Caribbean destination.

Seven Mile Beach is consistently ranked among the Caribbean's top beaches, but Grand Cayman's hotel inventory has lagged behind its reputation. The Grand Hyatt addition brings a globally recognized brand to the island at a scale that could shift its competitive position in the luxury resort market.
