The resort's new and well-appointed suites are frequently highlighted for their comfort, stylish decor, and amenities, offering a pleasant and relaxing retreat.

  • Gourmet Dining

Specific à la carte restaurants, such as Tierra and Portofino, are lauded for their quality and diverse culinary offerings, enhancing the all-inclusive experience.

  • Lively Pool Scene

The main pool, with its energetic DJ, engaging activities, and swim-up bar, is a popular hub for fun and relaxation, complemented by ample seating.

  • Tranquil Baby Beach

The adjacent Baby Beach is celebrated for its warm, clear, and shallow waters, perfect for serene swimming and snorkeling in a beautiful, calm setting.

Guests Warn

  • Service Efficiency

Recurring concerns include understaffing and extended wait times for food and drinks, suggesting areas for improvement in operational efficiency and staff training.

  • Beach Accessibility & Nature

Guests should note the beach requires a short walk across a service road, and Baby Beach is public, which means it can be crowded with families and hotel services for alcohol are limited.

  • Remote Location

The resort's distance from the airport and main tourist hubs means a longer commute for those wishing to explore more bustling areas or access other services on the island.

  • Soundproofing & Wind

Some rooms may experience noise issues from nearby activities or the main square, and the consistent windy conditions can sometimes impact the overall guest experience, particularly around pools and outdoor dining.

Overview

Baby Beach on Aruba's southeastern tip is one of the few genuinely calm natural swimming spots in the southern Caribbean — a shallow, reef-protected lagoon where the water rarely exceeds waist depth and wave action is almost nonexistent. Secrets Baby Beach opened phases in March/June 2025 specifically to capitalize on that access. The resort itself doesn't sit directly on the lagoon — there's a 5-minute walk across a service road — but complimentary chairs, snorkel equipment, and non-alcoholic beverages are provided at the beach. This is the trade-off: excellent water in an unusual location versus the more convenient direct-beachfront access of properties on Aruba's western strip.

The resort works well for couples who prioritize a modern, design-forward property over a long-established one. The aesthetic is nature-inspired with contemporary architecture — a deliberate departure from the older all-inclusive mold. The main pool area with DJ and swim-up bar is genuinely lively. Ground-level suites with private pools and swim-out access are a strong product. This is not the right choice for guests who want to walk to a bustling tourist strip — San Nicolas is charming but small, and the main Palm Beach hotel zone is 30+ minutes away.

Two meaningful drawbacks worth knowing before booking: first, the resort cannot serve alcoholic drinks on the public Baby Beach, meaning you switch to water and sodas once you walk over. Second, soundproofing in rooms is poor — guests near the main plaza area report hearing evening entertainment clearly from their suites. The wind is also persistent on Aruba's eastern coast — more so than the calm western shore — which affects both pool and beach comfort.

Practical context: 304 suites in multiple categories. Unlimited-Luxury covers all dining, top-shelf spirits, 24-hour room service, non-motorized water sports, fitness center, and daily activities. Spa covers 3,200 square feet with 16 planned treatment rooms and a full hydrotherapy circuit. Airport distance: 21 km from Queen Beatrix International (AUA), approximately 30 minutes — longer than west-side Aruba properties. Pre-arrange airport transfers; ridesharing is not widely available on the island.

Being a 2025 opening, best-time-to-visit data is limited. Aruba sits outside the hurricane belt and gets approximately 300 days of sun per year — there is no clear high/low season based on weather. The trade winds blow consistently year-round, which keeps temperatures moderate but makes the eastern coast windier than the west.

Pros

  • +Baby Beach lagoon water is genuinely exceptional — shallow, calm, and clear, with no surf and no seaweed.
  • +Modern 2025 property with design-forward rooms; no aging infrastructure issues common at older all-inclusives.
  • +Ground-level private plunge pool suites deliver actual privacy — not just a larger balcony.
  • +Tierra (South American) and Portofino (Italian) are the standout dinner restaurants and deliver above-average quality for an all-inclusive.
  • +The hydrotherapy circuit's cenote-style reflecting pool is a genuinely distinctive spa element.

Cons

  • −The beach is a 5-minute walk across a service road — not a direct-beachfront property despite the name.
  • −Alcohol cannot be served by resort staff at the public Baby Beach section.
  • −Soundproofing is poor — rooms near the plaza area get event noise clearly at night.
  • −The eastern coast wind is stronger than Aruba's west side — pool and beach comfort can be affected on windy days.
  • −Airport transfer is 30+ minutes; no ridesharing services — pre-arrange transportation before arrival.

Tips

  • Book airport transfers through the resort or a reputable Aruba taxi company before arriving — ridesharing apps do not operate reliably on the island.
  • When navigating to the resort, follow hotel signage rather than GPS maps, which may direct you to the public Baby Beach entrance instead of the hotel gate.
  • Bring wind-resistant SPF lotion — Aruba's trade winds are deceptive and cause faster sunburn than expected.
  • Join the 'Fans of Secrets Baby Beach' Facebook group before your trip — crowd-sourced tips from recent guests are more current than any review platform for a newly opened resort.
  • Long pants are required for men at some à la carte dinner restaurants — pack accordingly or check the dress code in the Hyatt Inclusive Collection app.
