Palladium Hotel Menorca relaunched in May 2021 after a thorough renovation of a property originally built in 1974, which means it carries one of the more genuinely refreshed physical plants in the Spanish all-inclusive market. The setting in Arenal d'en Castell — a curved bay on Menorca's quieter north coast — provides a fundamentally different backdrop than the busier southern resorts near Son Bou, with calm water and a semicircular beach that guests largely have to themselves outside peak season.
Families with children are the primary audience, and the resort is set up accordingly: a kids' splash pool, a family sea-view room category, the My Picnic Service for days out at the beach, and an animation program. Couples who specifically want adults-only exclusivity should note that the adults-only pool is a section of the property, not the whole resort — families and children are present throughout the common areas.
The honest operational issue is the air conditioning. Guest reviews consistently flag AC units that cool slowly or carry signs of mold near the grill in some rooms. Noise transfer through corridor-facing doors is a second recurring complaint, affecting sleep quality particularly in rooms that face interior hallways. These are known issues worth flagging at check-in if you're assigned a room that doesn't suit you.
The property has around 315 rooms, one main restaurant (Sa Barca), a pool bar, theater bar, and lobby bar. The fitness and entertainment programs are solid for the room count. Menorca Airport is 20–31 minutes away depending on traffic. The island's UNESCO biosphere reserve status means significantly less development than Ibiza or Mallorca — a genuine selling point if that's what you're after.
Shoulder season (May–June and September–October) offers comfortable swimming temperatures with noticeably lower crowds and pricing. Menorca's famous Tramuntana winds make late October and November cold enough to rule out beach use.
