Rating8.1The activity program here is broad — 25-plus options spanning water sports, court sports, fitness classes, kids' programming, and evening entertainment, nearly all included. Non-motorized water sports (kayaks, windsurfing, catamaran, snorkeling) are available directly from the beach. The supervised Mini Club Daisy and Teen Club run daily schedules. Evening shows run at the main theater nightly. Paid activities are limited to off-site excursions and moped rentals.
The general-access pool serving all guests. Swim-up bar on one side. Gets crowded from mid-morning to mid-afternoon. Best before 9 AM or after 5 PM for chair availability.
The resort's signature feature — designed to appear to merge with the Caribbean from the clifftop. Open to all guests. Morning is the best time before sunbathers pack the surrounding terrace. The view west-facing makes late afternoon light particularly good.
Dedicated to kids, with toys and appropriate depth. Located near the family areas. Gets busy at midday.
Very shallow — designed for toddlers and infants. Monitored. Useful for families with young children who can't yet use the main pool.
Reserved exclusively for Privilege-tier guests. The quietest pool on the property by a significant margin. If you're paying Privilege rates, this is one of the main day-to-day benefits.
Outdoor hot tub. Popular in the evenings after the pools close or during cooler months. Located near the main pool area.
Two beach sections accessed directly from the resort. Varadero's white sand is genuinely fine-grained here, and the water stays calm most of the year — good for swimming and non-motorized sports. Lounge chairs and a beachfront snack bar are on-site. Privilege guests get reserved palapa areas with Balinese beds. Seaweed accumulation can occur seasonally (typically June–October) but the resort clears it daily.
Non-motorized, included. Equipment available from the beach. Best for guests with some prior experience — the sea can be choppy in the afternoon.
Gear provided, included. The reef off Varadero's beach is modest but accessible. Best in the morning before wind picks up.
Single and double kayaks available at the beach, no sign-up required. A reliable morning activity with calm water before afternoon wind.
Included. Scheduled departures — check the daily activity board for times. Capacity is limited so arrive early to secure a spot.

Full animation schedule from morning through late evening. Quality is typical of Cuban all-inclusives — energetic but not polished.
Theater performances nightly — mix of local Cuban music and international-style variety shows. Worth attending at least twice; quality varies by night.
Live music at multiple venues throughout the evening, including the lobby bar. Cuban musical traditions make this a genuine highlight.
Separate adult-oriented evening programming. Check the weekly schedule with the entertainment team.
Spanish language lessons, salsa dance classes, and local culture programming run by the animation team. The salsa lessons are particularly popular and worth scheduling early in the stay.
Off-site tours to Varadero town, Havana (day trip, approximately 2.5 hours each way), and natural reserves. All at additional cost. The Havana day trip is the most frequently booked — book through the resort concierge rather than independent operators for reliability.
Available at extra cost. Varadero is largely flat and bikeable — a useful way to reach town or explore the peninsula independently.
