Rating8.1Adults OnlyActivity density is among the highest in Los Cabos. Splash Water World and RIU Pool Parties are the headliners. The kids' club runs daily for ages 4–12 with separate programs by age group. Most non-motorized watersports require going through the independent aquatic center at an extra charge — the beach here is not set up for resort-managed watersports.
On-site water park with slides and aquatic attractions, included for all guests. Not themed park quality but genuinely entertaining. Gets crowded by 11am — arrive when it opens.
By the main stage, hosts RIU Pool Party events. Adults-only during party programming. The loudest pool on property — not the place for quiet relaxation.
Five distinct pools with swim-up bars: Ushuaia, Mezcal, Tequila, and La Iguana are the named ones. All serve the same full bar menu. Crowd levels vary by time of day — mid-afternoon is the peak.
Quieter pools tucked in less active sections of the property. The best option for families with young children or adults who want to float without music.
Dedicated shallow pool with slides adjacent to the kids' club area. Supervised during RiuLand hours.
The visually distinctive pool with a horizon-edge view toward the sea. Usually calmer than the party pools — good morning or early evening swim spot.
The resort sits directly on El Médano, Cabo's only swimmable beach in the greater Hotel Zone. The Blue Flag certification confirms environmental standards, not necessarily safe swimming conditions. The stretch directly in front of Riu Santa Fe has documented strong undertow — multiple guests and the resort itself advise walking east along the beach toward the more sheltered public area for actual ocean swimming. Sun loungers and beach umbrellas are complimentary in the resort's private section. Beach vendors are persistent — be firm.
