Rating8.3Castilla has four on-site restaurants and two bars — manageable variety on its own, but the shuttle to sister properties expands that to roughly eight restaurants total. The à la carte venues (El Alcázar for Italian, La Cascada for Mexican) both require reservations; secure them on arrival day. La Alhambra handles the main buffet crowd for breakfast and lunch. Note that specialty items (lobster, jumbo shrimp, premium steaks) carry a surcharge even on the all-inclusive plan.

Italian
Italian à la carte, dinner only (5:30–10:30pm). The most formal dining on-site. Reservation required — book on arrival day, not the night before you want to go. Smart casual dress. Some specialty pasta dishes are prepared tableside. Surcharge applies to premium items like surf and turf.
Signature dishes: Authentic Italian cuisine
Mexican
Traditional Mexican à la carte, all three meals, open five days a week. The breakfast is often cited as more interesting than the main buffet. Dinner reservation required. Closed two days a week — check the weekly schedule at check-in.
International buffet
Beachfront buffet, all meals. The most casual option, with direct ocean views. Breakfast is busiest from 8–9:30am; arrive before 8 or after 9:30 to avoid the rush. Dinner occasionally features live music. Dress code: no wet swimwear, shoes required.
International fare
Buffet for breakfast and lunch (as El Campeador), transitions to dinner theater format (as La Pérgola) with live performances nightly. The dinner show is one of the better entertainment options — it fills up; arrive 20 minutes early to get a decent table.
Bar menu, Snacks
The social hub of the property. Craft beers, cocktails, live music 8–11pm nightly. Happy hour runs 6–7pm. Pool-view seating. Gets loud after 8pm; not the place for a quiet conversation.
Signature dishes: Craft beers, Spirits, Cocktails
Snacks, Casual fare
Poolside swim-up bar with burgers, sandwiches, and cocktails. Open during pool hours. Quickest food option without leaving the pool — useful when the weather is too hot to walk.
Signature dishes: Hamburgers, Sandwiches, Cocktails
Coffee, Café fare
Open 7am–8pm. Additional charge applies — not included in the all-inclusive plan. Espresso drinks and pastries. The only reliable specialty coffee option on-property.
Signature dishes: Fresh brews
International
Available but carries an additional charge even for all-inclusive guests. Limited menu compared to the restaurants. Worth using if you arrive late and the dining options are closed.
