Sandals Resorts and its family counterpart Beaches Resorts have retired Sandals Select Rewards, the loyalty program they had run since 2008, replacing it with a rebranded scheme called the Island Insiders Club. The new program went live July 1, and existing members rolled over automatically with no reset to their status or benefits.

The Island Insiders Club keeps a familiar structure but expands the perks. Members move through seven tiers earned by paid nights stayed: Shell, Coral, Sapphire, Emerald, Diamond, Pearl and Ambassador. The higher a guest climbs, the more the program opens up.

Several benefits are new. Insiders can call a dedicated Room Upgrade Hotline up to 30 days before travel and receive up to 50 percent off an upgrade. Members also get a flexible Insider Reward credit they can spend on experiences like the Red Lane Spa or Island Routes excursions, plus access to a private online shop with limited-edition merchandise. Top-tier Diamond, Pearl and Ambassador members gain a VIP concierge line for booking flights, tours and special requests.

The refresh matters because loyalty is one of the few levers all-inclusive operators have to drive repeat bookings, where guests pay upfront and rarely earn transferable points. By adding upgrade discounts and concierge access, Sandals is leaning into the high repeat-visit rates that define its guest base across Jamaica and the wider Caribbean.

For frequent guests at properties like Sandals Dunn's River or Sandals Royal Curaçao, the changes are worth reviewing before the next booking.
