Royalton Is Bringing a New Brand to Cancun — and Rethinking Where Everyone Sleeps
Reservations are open for a 376-suite Hotel Zone resort debuting in 2027, with a room category built around a problem group travelers know well.
Royalton has opened reservations for one of Cancun’s biggest all-inclusive debuts of 2027, a 376-suite resort in the Hotel Zone scheduled to welcome its first guests on March 1, 2027.
Royalton Vessence Cancun, an Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort, brings the company’s newer Vessence brand to Mexico after its debut in Barbados in June 2026. It arrives in one of the Caribbean basin’s most competitive resort districts, where new all-inclusives compete for couples, families, destination weddings and Marriott Bonvoy members.
The most distinctive feature is inside the rooms. A new category called Multi Bed Suites replaces the usual pullout sofa with two full-size DreamBed mattresses built into a Murphy-bed design. When extra guests need them, the beds fold down as proper mattresses; the rest of the stay, they store away to free up space. It targets a familiar frustration of multigenerational trips — where everyone actually sleeps — and the category is the only one at the resort to include butler service, alongside a high number of connecting-room options.
Beyond the beds, the property will open with seven restaurants, five bars, an oceanfront rooftop pool, swim-out suites, beachfront cabanas, The Royal Spa, Moddo Fitness by Royalton FIT and 24-hour room service. Programming leans local, with cooking classes, art workshops and wine and spirits tastings.
The resort sits about 20 minutes from Cancun International Airport, and entry-level rooms start at roughly $468 per night. It joins a crowded and growing lineup of Cancun all-inclusives — including Royalton’s own Royalton Riviera Cancun nearby — but the group is betting that a genuinely better answer to group sleeping arrangements will help it stand out.
