Royalton Reopens All Five Jamaica Resorts After Hurricane Melissa Rebuild
Royalton reopened its full Jamaica lineup in Negril and Montego Bay with redesigned rooms, app tools, Bonvoy Autograph stays, and rates from about $302.
Royalton Hotels & Resorts has reopened its complete Jamaica portfolio. Five all-inclusive resorts across Negril and the Montego Bay area are back online after repairs and upgrades that followed Hurricane Melissa, restoring both guest inventory and roughly 1,200 jobs at the Trelawny properties alone.
For travelers, the practical update is booking availability: family and adults-only Royalton stays in western Jamaica are sellable again, inside Marriott's Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resorts portfolio, so Marriott Bonvoy members can earn and redeem on these properties.
Which resorts are open and what they cost right now
On Jamaica's west coast, Royalton Negril, Hideaway at Royalton Negril, and Grand Lido Negril are welcoming guests again. Near Montego Bay / Trelawny, Royalton Blue Waters and Hideaway at Royalton Blue Waters reopened this week after nearly 11 months closed.
A Sept. 16 rate check reported Royalton Negril from about $302 per night including taxes and fees for two adults on Sept. 27, Hideaway Negril from about $392 the same night, and Royalton Blue Waters from about $333 for Oct. 7. Rates move with room category and travel dates, but those figures give a sense of early post-reopening pricing.
What changed inside the resorts
Royalton redesigned guestrooms and suites with contemporary interiors and Jamaican design details. Rooms now include interactive televisions, beach-reaching high-speed Wi-Fi, and a mobile app for concierge chat, room service, activities, and hotel info. Online room selection and pre-check-in are meant to shorten arrivals. An interactive AI concierge is planned in the coming months.
Royalton Negril remains the family hub, with 407 suites, nine restaurants, seven bars, multiple pools, a children's splash park, pickleball, fitness facilities, and an outdoor theater. Hideaway at Royalton Negril is adults-only, with dedicated beach areas, oceanfront pools, and swim-out suites, plus Book 1, Enjoy 2 access to the neighboring family resort. Grand Lido Negril is the smaller adults-only, au naturel option.
Royalton Blue Waters returns with nine restaurants, seven bars, multiple pools, a lazy river, a pirate-themed water park, kids programming, teen disco nights, and an outdoor theater. Hideaway Blue Waters has 352 suites, adults-only spaces, and a private islet offshore, with shared access that combines into 12 restaurants and 11 bars across the pair. Jamaica Gleaner reporting put about 578 rooms back into inventory at the two Trelawny resorts, with refreshed guestrooms, lobbies, pool furniture, and Diamond Club butler service upgrades on selected categories.
Why the reopenings matter for Jamaica travelers
Royalton extended Jamaica closures after Melissa to finish repairs, inspections, and infrastructure work, including reinstalled solar panels at Royalton Negril and Royalton Blue Waters expected to generate more than 634,000 kilowatt-hours of renewable energy a year. With St. Lucia, Barbados, and Grenada competing hard for all-inclusive demand, getting these Autograph Collection resorts back online is a material supply story for winter bookings to Jamaica.
Royalton's next Jamaica chapter is still Royalton CHIC Jamaica Paradise Cove, an adults-only lifestyle resort planned for summer 2027. For now, the guest-facing news is simpler: all five existing resorts are bookable again.
