Tamarind Barbados Reopens Under Autograph Collection With New Bajan Dining

Marriott's 111-room west coast all-inclusive is back after a full renovation, closing the Barbados Collection remake and adding Bonvoy earn-and-burn stays.

Tamarind, Barbados, an Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort has reopened on the island's Platinum Coast after a multi-million-dollar redo that finishes Marriott's two-year overhaul of its seven-resort Barbados Collection. The 111-room property stays fully all-inclusive and now sits under Autograph Collection All-Inclusive, so Marriott Bonvoy members can earn and redeem points on eligible stays.

For guests who already know this stretch of calm west coast water, the practical change is a fresher room product, a wider food lineup, and more structured family programming without losing the intimate beachfront footprint that made Tamarind a long-running favorite in Barbados.

What the renovation changed for guests

Guestrooms and suites got interiors inspired by sea and landscape, and public spaces and dining venues were rebuilt across the property. The standout food addition is Caribbean Restaurant, described as the island's first air-conditioned restaurant devoted exclusively to authentic Barbadian cuisine. Other outlets include breakfast at Sugar Cane Restaurant, coffee at Harvest & Hive, local and international dishes at 246 Bar & Restaurant, and casual seaside fare at Sugar Shack.

Cultural programming leans into place: rum tastings, Soca dance lessons, and cooking classes centered on traditional Bajan fish cakes. Staying guests can also use the Barbados Collection Dine Around program at participating sister resorts, which matters if you want variety without leaving the Marriott portfolio.

Family programming and the Lifestyle Stretch

Families get CAMP Club, an indoor-outdoor kids program created with CAMP and Marriott Bonvoy, with activities built around Barbadian arts, music, and storytelling. Multiple pools, a broad beachfront, motorized and non-motorized water sports, and wellness offerings round out the day plan.

Tamarind also joins The House and Treasure Beach in the Collection's Lifestyle Stretch of west coast experiences, with the new Sandtrap Beach Club positioned as a social hub for the area. Event space includes two indoor rooms and outdoor venues for groups of up to about 400.

Why the Barbados Collection finish matters

Tamarind's reopen closes Marriott's portfolio-wide repositioning: Waves, Treasure Beach, The House, and Tamarind now fly Autograph Collection all-inclusive flags; Crystal Cove and Turtle Beach sit in Tribute Portfolio; Colony Club reopened in The Luxury Collection. That mix gives Bonvoy travelers a clearer ladder of all-inclusive options on one island, from lifestyle Autograph stays to Luxury Collection polish, alongside newer Platinum Coast inventory such as Royalton Vessence Barbados.

If you are shopping Barbados all-inclusives this winter, Tamarind is the final piece of that remake to come back online. Confirm current Bonvoy rates and Dine Around partners before you lock nonrefundable flights, since opening-week menus and sister-resort access can still settle after a major reopen.
