A Popular Cancun All-Inclusive Is Leaving Hyatt for a Rival — and Rebranding Entirely
A well-known adults-only resort on Cancun's hotel strip is switching hotel giants and taking on a new name this fall.
One of Cancun's better-known adults-only all-inclusives is changing hands between hotel giants. The Breathless Cancún Soul Resort & Spa will leave the Hyatt Inclusive Collection and reopen on October 31, 2026 as Amàre Cancun Adults Only All-Inclusive Resort, part of the Hilton family under its Curio Collection.
The move gives Hilton a Curio Collection all-inclusive on one of the Caribbean's most-trafficked resort strips. The property sits on Boulevard Kukulcan in Cancun, wedged between the Caribbean Sea and the Nichupté Lagoon, and is already accepting reservations for stays beginning at the end of October.
Under the new flag, the resort keeps its scale: 429 rooms and suites, nine restaurants, nine bars, a coffee shop, three outdoor pools, a spa and a fitness center. Several dining concepts were built with input from Michelin-starred chefs, blending Mediterranean technique with Latin American ingredients — the culinary center of gravity for the Amàre lifestyle brand.
Brand switches like this have become a recurring theme in Cancun, where owners routinely move properties between the major hotel companies as all-inclusive competition intensifies. For Hilton, adding an established, sold-out-in-season resort is a faster route into the market than building from the ground up.
For travelers with loyalty points, the change matters. Stays after October 31 will earn and redeem through Hilton Honors rather than Hyatt's program, a shift worth checking before booking a winter escape to the Mexican Caribbean.
