The Iberostar Selection Montenegro is a brand-new 5-star all-inclusive resort opening in May 2026 in Bar/Sutomore on the Montenegrin Adriatic coast. This is distinct from the Bay of Kotor's Perast — the property sits amid pine trees on the open Adriatic with 292 rooms and suites, many of which include private or swim-up pool access.
At this scale and price point, the 3,700 square meter spa is the standout facility — exceptionally large for a 292-room property. The wet circuit includes saunas, hammam, steam bath, indoor heated pool, adults-only indoor massage pool, and a genuinely unusual ultra-low-temperature room (an ice chamber for contrast therapy). Sauna, hammam, steam bath, indoor pool, and wellness area access are included in the stay without additional charge.
As a new opening with no reviews yet, there are structural uncertainties: the all-inclusive program details, specialty restaurant inclusions/exclusions, and operational standards won't be verifiable until the resort has been running for several months. The Emilia Italian Restaurant and the outdoor Grill Restaurant carry additional charges beyond the all-inclusive — confirm specifics at booking.
The private beach at Zlatna Obala offers fine gravel (standard for this section of the Montenegrin coast) and clear water. The signature Almar Beach Bar runs a Sunset Ritual with live music each evening — positioned as a defining social experience for the property. Podgorica airport (TGD) is 41–56 minutes away; Tivat (TIV) is 54–103 minutes; Dubrovnik (DBV) in Croatia is 75–115 minutes.
The property targets couples and premium-leaning families aged 30–45 seeking comfort over entertainment-heavy programming. Star Camp covers three children's age groups, and a dedicated children's outdoor pool complements the main outdoor pool and indoor options.
