The airport is 80–86 km north — a 1 to 2 hour drive depending on traffic.
The resort markets itself as a wellness retreat. This framing is reflected in the Sensations Spa, which offers treatments using aloe vera grown on the resort grounds — an unusual locally rooted touch. The facility includes sauna, hammam, sensory shower, relaxation room, and a full treatment menu. The Star Prestige adult-only section has its own private pools, lounges, and personalized services, making the dual-audience model more functional than on properties that mix without meaningful separation.
Fuerteventura is known for its wind, which creates exceptional conditions for kitesurfing and windsurfing — activities available through on-site operators at extra charge. The consistent Saharan warmth (Fuerteventura sits 100 km from the African coast) makes it the best year-round weather destination in the Canary Islands. For non-water sport guests, the primary attraction is Jandía Beach — wide, golden, and directly accessible from the property.
Families are accommodated through three kids' clubs (Mini 4–8, Maxi 9–12, Teenie 13–17) and an on-demand night childcare service for ages 2–12 — an unusual amenity that gives parents genuine evening flexibility. Five pools, including four outdoor and one indoor, handle year-round use.
The drive time from Fuerteventura airport is a genuine drawback: 80 km south through the island's arid center takes 60–90 minutes and can be uncomfortable for children after a long flight.
