The dining lineup is what separates Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos from the crowd of family all-inclusives in Cabo. Eight specialty restaurants — including Indian (Mahika), teppanyaki (Dozo), and French (Bon Vivant) — represent a range that most Los Cabos resorts don't attempt. A $50 million renovation completed in Spring 2025 modernized Tower B rooms, overhauled key public spaces, and added new culinary concepts, making this one of the more recently refreshed properties in the corridor.
This is the right choice for families with children under 12 who want structure and supervision. The KidZ Club runs daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. with a mini water park (five slides, a toddler splash pool), and the recently renovated Teen Club adds dedicated space for older kids. Multi-generational groups — grandparents traveling with grandkids — regularly cite this as one of the better-organized family setups in Cabo. Adults traveling as a couple who want a quiet, romantic atmosphere should look at the adults-only options at nearby sister property Hyatt Ziva Cabo San Lucas instead.
The honest limitation here is the beach. The Sea of Cortez at this stretch of San José del Cabo produces strong currents that make the water unsafe for swimming — the resort prohibits ocean entry. Guests who arrive expecting beach swim days will be disappointed. The pools compensate reasonably well, but you are not getting an ocean swimming experience here regardless of how it looks in the photos.
The resort holds 591 suites across two towers and sits roughly 12 miles from San José del Cabo International Airport (SJD) — about 15 to 20 minutes by car. The all-inclusive rate covers meals at all specialty restaurants and buffets, unlimited alcohol including top-shelf spirits, 24-hour room service, and daily replenished minibars. Club Level rooms layer on dedicated concierge, premium minibar selections, and espresso machines. World of Hyatt members can book standard rooms and suites with points, which makes this one of the few all-inclusives with a genuine loyalty currency redemption path.
December through April is high season and also whale-watching season — humpback whales are commonly spotted from the resort between January and March. Book specialty restaurants (especially Dozo) the moment you check in; the teppanyaki tables fill within hours of arrival day. The quieter months of May through September come with lower rates and thinner crowds at the pools.
