Sandals Just Retired Its 18-Year-Old Rewards Program — Here's What Guests Get Now
Sandals and Beaches replaced their long-running loyalty program on July 1 with a seven-tier system and a headline perk for frequent guests.
Sandals and Beaches Resorts have replaced Sandals Select Rewards, the loyalty program they had run since 2008, with a rebuilt system called the Island Insiders Club. The new program took effect July 1 across the company's Caribbean portfolio.
The structure expands to seven tiers — Shell, Coral, Sapphire, Emerald, Diamond, Pearl and topping out at Ambassador — with points earned at escalating rates: two per dollar at the lower travel tiers, rising to four per dollar for Pearl and Ambassador members. Existing members kept their status, points and benefits, which transferred automatically with no need to re-enroll.
The headline perk rewards frequency: members earn a complimentary seven-night stay at any resort of their choice after every 70 paid nights. New sign-ups who book and travel collect 5,000 bonus points after a first stay, and the program adds a members-only shop, a room-upgrade hotline, invitations to member events, and more flexibility in how on-resort rewards are redeemed.
The revamp lands as all-inclusive operators lean harder on loyalty to lock in repeat guests in a crowded Caribbean market. Sandals, which runs adults-only resorts across the region, and its family-focused sister brand Beaches — home to properties like Beaches Turks & Caicos and Beaches Negril — are betting that richer rewards will keep guests booking direct rather than shopping around.
