Riu Hotels & Resorts has completed a multi-million-dollar renovation of Hotel Riu Jalisco in Nuevo Vallarta, Mexico, refreshing all 820 rooms and adding new family suites that accommodate up to six guests. The property, set on Playa de Flamingos, now features six swimming pools, two children's pools with slides and splash pads, and a revamped RiuLand kids' club.

The renovation wrapped in December 2025, and the resort has been drawing families looking for a Pacific coast alternative to the Riviera Maya. New dining additions include an American Country restaurant, a Candy ice cream parlour, and a Sports Bar alongside the property's existing specialty restaurants.

Riu Jalisco is part of a broader expansion wave. Sunwing Vacations announced it has added five new and newly renovated all-inclusive properties to its 2026 portfolio, spanning Mexico and the Dominican Republic. Among the additions: Ocean Allure Costa Mujeres, a 599-suite adults-only property with swim-out rooms, eight themed restaurants, and a rooftop infinity pool. Bakour Punta Cana Suites brings a boutique-style option to Punta Cana. And the Hideaway Riviera Cancun reopened after its own multi-million-dollar renovation with a new water park and upgraded Diamond Club suites.

The flurry of investment signals continued confidence in the Mexico and Caribbean all-inclusive market, which has seen record booking demand heading into 2026.
