One Caribbean Island Just Set the Date for Its First-Ever Marriott All-Inclusive

The Pyrmont Curacao now has an opening date: November 16. When it welcomes its first guests, it will become the first Marriott-branded all-inclusive resort on Curacao, an addition to the fast-growing Autograph Collection All-Inclusive portfolio.

The adults-only, newly built beachfront resort will have 300 rooms, including 28 suites, and every accommodation is designed with an ocean view. It rises on the former site of the Cerro Bonito mansion along Penstraat, in the historic Pietermaai district on the edge of Willemstad, a UNESCO World Heritage area known for its pastel Dutch colonial architecture.

Dining and drinking will be generous: eight restaurants and five bars, including a rooftop bar overlooking the water, plus an infinity pool ringed by private cabanas and daybeds. Because Curacao is one of the Caribbean's premier dive destinations, the resort will run its own dive and water-sports center, offering certification courses and reef excursions.

As part of Marriott's all-inclusive lineup, the property will be bookable with Bonvoy points as well as cash, a meaningful draw for loyalty members who have had few all-inclusive redemption options in this corner of the southern Caribbean. Early rates have been advertised in the upper $600 range per night.

The opening lands during a banner stretch for Curacao, which has been adding hotel inventory and international air service as it pushes to compete with better-known Caribbean beach destinations.
