Paradisus Cancún has officially reopened following a $50 million renovation that transformed the beachfront all-inclusive from top to bottom. The property, operated by Paradisus by Meliá, now features 773 fully redesigned suites along with an expanded roster of dining venues, refreshed pools, and a reimagined wellness center.

The renovation touched virtually every guest-facing surface. Suites were rebuilt with natural materials, warm tones, and handcrafted details alongside modern smart-room technology. The resort's signature family concierge and adults-only Royal Service tiers both received upgrades, creating more distinct experiences within the same property.

Dining Gets a Major Expansion

Perhaps the most significant change is on the culinary side. Paradisus Cancún now operates nine restaurants and seven bars — a substantial increase from its previous lineup. The new concepts span a broader range of cuisines and dining styles, from casual poolside fare to more formal evening options.

The expansion puts the resort squarely in competition with neighboring Cancún properties that have been racing to add more varied food and beverage programming. With travelers increasingly judging all-inclusives by the quality and variety of their dining, the investment makes strategic sense.

Meliá Hotels International has been pouring money into its Paradisus brand across multiple markets, and the Cancún flagship's overhaul is the most visible example yet. The property sits on one of the hotel zone's prime beachfront stretches, giving it a location advantage that the new interiors now match.
