Melia Hotels International has operated nine hotels across Mexico, from Cancun to Los Cabos. But until now, the Spanish hotel giant had never planted a flag in the country's capital. That changes on June 8 when INNSiDE Mexico Roma Norte opens in one of Mexico City's most stylish neighborhoods.

The 91-room lifestyle hotel is built for the growing "bleisure" traveler — someone who blurs the line between business trips and vacations. Roma Norte, a walkable neighborhood known for early-20th-century architecture, acclaimed restaurants, and a thriving gallery scene, fits that profile precisely.

The Property

Common spaces are designed to shift throughout the day, from co-working during morning hours to social gathering spots by evening. A rooftop restaurant and bar anchors the experience, with a lobby bar and terrace built for all-day use. There's also a gym and dedicated meeting space.

World Cup Timing

The opening lands weeks before Mexico City hosts FIFA World Cup 2026 matches, putting the hotel in position to capture a wave of global attention. The tournament is projected to generate nearly $900 million in incremental hotel room revenue across U.S. and Mexican host markets.

Melia's broader Mexico strategy continues to expand. The company recently completed a major renovation of Paradisus Cancun and has a luxury ME by Melia property planned for San Miguel de Allende. Opening rates at INNSiDE Mexico Roma Norte come in under $200 per night.
