Paradisus Cancun, the five-pyramid beachfront all-inclusive operated by Paradisus by Melia, has officially reopened in Cancun following a $50 million renovation that touched every corner of the 773-suite resort.

The overhaul, which took roughly a year to complete, went well beyond a cosmetic refresh. Every suite was stripped and redesigned with lighter finishes, natural materials, and color palettes inspired by the Yucatan Peninsula. Balconies now overlook either the Caribbean or lush interior gardens, and layouts were reconfigured to add more intentional living space and better storage.

New Dining and Nightlife

The resort's food and beverage program expanded to nine restaurants and seven bars. New concepts include Vibra, a contemporary kitchen; Kao, a Japanese restaurant; and Zesty, a comfort-food spot. Legacy restaurants like Sal steakhouse and Capella Italian also received full makeovers. A Coffee Corner by Nespresso and a gelato shop round out the casual options.

Adults-Only and Family Zones

The Reserve, an adults-only section with private pools and dedicated beach areas, returns with upgraded service tiers. On the family side, a new Aquazone splash park and a redesigned Kidsdom children's club aim to make the resort more competitive in the family all-inclusive space. A Family Concierge tier offers larger suites, a private lounge, and reserved beach sections.

Rates start at roughly $402 per night for a junior suite with sunset views, while The Reserve's adults-only rooms begin around $480. The resort sits about 15 minutes from Cancun International Airport and includes more than 32,000 square feet of meeting and event space.
