Two New Luxury All-Inclusives Will Share a 70,000-Square-Foot Entertainment Complex — Here's Where
Marriott is building a W and a JW Marriott all-inclusive in Costa Mujeres, connected by a massive shared entertainment venue called The Village.
Marriott International is making its biggest all-inclusive play yet in Mexico, and it involves two luxury brands and one very large entertainment complex. The company is building both a W All-Inclusive and a JW Marriott All-Inclusive resort in Costa Mujeres, the fast-growing corridor just north of Cancun. The two properties will be physically connected by a 70,000-square-foot shared venue called The Village.
The W All-Inclusive Costa Mujeres will be an adults-only property with 300 rooms, five restaurants and bars, multiple pools, and roughly 9,000 square feet of event space. The JW Marriott All-Inclusive Costa Mujeres will offer 283 rooms along with 53 residential units and six on-site restaurants, catering to both couples and families.
The Village is the centerpiece that ties it all together. The entertainment complex will feature additional food and beverage options, retail shops, and event space — essentially creating a shared social hub between the two resorts. It's a concept more commonly seen in mega-resort developments in the Dominican Republic or Dubai than in the Mexican Caribbean, and it could set a new standard for how luxury all-inclusive properties are designed in the region.
Both properties are being developed in partnership with AB Living Group and are expected to open in 2026. Costa Mujeres has become one of the hottest development zones in Mexico's hotel market, with the St. Regis, Ocean Allure, and several other brands all racing to plant flags along the same stretch of Caribbean coastline.
For Marriott, the dual-brand strategy reflects a broader bet on the all-inclusive category. The company's Marriott All-Inclusive portfolio has expanded rapidly in recent years, with properties now spanning Mexico, the Caribbean, and Costa Rica.
