This Boutique Hotel Brand Is Opening Its First-Ever All-Inclusive — Inside a 340-Acre Nature Park

A brand known for stylish city boutiques is making its all-inclusive debut this month, tucked inside a private Riviera Maya nature preserve.

Kimpton Tres Rios Riviera Maya opens September 22, marking the first all-inclusive resort ever for the Kimpton brand and a notable expansion of parent company IHG's push into the format.

Kimpton built its name on design-forward, couples-friendly boutique hotels in cities. Tres Rios is a deliberate departure: a 355-suite resort built for families as much as couples, set inside a 340-acre private nature park of rivers, cenotes, mangroves and eco-trails between Cancun and Playa del Carmen.

The scale is a step up for the brand. The resort will run seven restaurants and five bars, four outdoor pools including a rooftop pool, and the Kej Spa, a wellness center themed around regional traditions. Accommodations range from studio suites to three-bedroom layouts, with higher categories adding private terraces, plunge pools and swim-up access along extended pool corridors.

Families get dedicated programming through the resort's kids' club and guided nature activities across the preserve, while the pet-friendly policy and in-room touches like Bluetooth speakers and yoga mats keep the recognizable Kimpton character intact.

The opening adds another high-profile name to an already crowded Riviera Maya pipeline, and gives IHG loyalty members a new all-inclusive option in one of Mexico's busiest resort corridors.
