Kimpton Tres Ríos is open in Playa del Carmen as the first all-inclusive resort from the Kimpton All-Inclusive brand. The 355-room property sits inside a 340-acre nature preserve along the Cancún-Tulum corridor and is managed by Hotel Equities, marking the operator's own move into the all-inclusive segment.

What sets the resort apart is the land around it. Guests stay among three freshwater rivers and 10 cenotes, with mangrove trails and kayaking that stay on property rather than requiring a day trip. Rooms and suites run from mangrove-view categories to multi-bedroom and presidential suites, many with direct pool access.

Food and drink start with six restaurants and four bars at opening, including Italian at Bacetto and Japanese at Kotori. Mediterranean restaurant Elaia and the adults-only Nebbia rooftop bar are scheduled for early 2027, completing a planned slate of seven restaurants and five bars. Wellness centers on the 10,000-square-foot Kej Spa, which pairs hydrotherapy and massage with Mayan-inspired rituals such as temazcal.

Families get Club Aventuras programming for kids, four outdoor pools, and Kimpton's usual Social Hour plus morning Kickstart service. Dogs up to 23 kg are welcome. For travelers who want Kimpton's boutique personality without leaving the all-inclusive format, Tres Ríos is the first place to try it, and the Riviera Maya preserve setting is the main reason to pick it over a standard beach strip resort.
