A 382-Room Luxury Resort Is About to Open on One of the Caribbean's Most Famous Beaches
Grand Hyatt Grand Cayman debuts on Seven Mile Beach in April with a massive spa, six restaurants, and 47,000 square feet of event space.
Grand Hyatt Grand Cayman Resort & Spa is set to welcome its first guests on April 1, marking one of the biggest resort openings in the Caribbean this year. The 382-room property occupies a stretch at the quieter southern end of Grand Cayman's legendary Seven Mile Beach, offering direct access to the turquoise waters that made the island a bucket-list destination.
The resort is going big on amenities. A 9,000-square-foot destination spa features 14 treatment rooms, an herbal steam room, an outdoor vitality pool, and chromotherapy treatments. Six distinct restaurants and bars anchor the food and beverage program, while over 47,000 square feet of flexible indoor and outdoor event space — including one of the largest ballrooms in the Cayman Islands — positions the property as a serious contender for destination weddings and corporate retreats.
The southern Seven Mile Beach location is a deliberate play. While the central stretch of the beach draws the biggest crowds, the resort's position gives guests a slightly quieter setting while keeping major dining, shopping, and entertainment within easy reach. It's a balance that premium travelers increasingly want: proximity to everything without being in the middle of it.
Grand Cayman has been gaining momentum as a high-end Caribbean destination, and the Grand Hyatt's arrival adds another luxury flag to an island already home to Ritz-Carlton and Kimpton properties. For Hyatt loyalists, the property will participate in World of Hyatt, making it bookable with points from day one.
