Pay for a club tier when the upgrade changes how you spend the day, not when it only changes the pillow menu. Run these five filters before you click the higher rate:

1. Will you use exclusive space every day? Private lounges, club-only pools, and reserved beach sections pay off when you actually sit there. If your plan is the main pool, the buffet, and out-the-door excursions, club real estate is unused inventory.

2. Is the resort large or crowded for your dates? Club tiers feel most valuable at big, busy properties where a quieter pool or beach lane is a relief valve. On a small, already-calm resort, the same premium buys less contrast.

3. Does club unlock dining you care about? Some properties attach club-only restaurants, a la carte breakfast, or priority reservations. If dining is your top vacation metric, that alone can justify the step-up. If the club restaurant is just a quieter buffet corner, maybe not.

4. How long is the stay? Lounge breakfast, afternoon hors d'oeuvres, and daily beach privileges compound over 5 to 7 nights more cleanly than over a 3-night dash.

5. What else could the premium buy? Compare the club delta against: one category better view without club, a swim-out or plunge-pool room, a cabana budget, spa treatments, or an extra night. The "worth it" answer is relative to your next-best use of the money.
